AD&D BENEFIT

NO-Cost AD&D Insurance

Every APS FCU Member Now Has a $3,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance Benefit from American Income Life.

You also have two other no cost options available to you:

  • You may receive a Health Services Discount Card that gives your whole family a discount on prescriptions, vision care, hearing aids, and chiropractic care at no cost to you. Dental and travel discounts are available and optional for a minimal fee.
  • You may also request Child Safe Kits, endorsed by the International Union of Police Associations, for all of your children and grandchildren. The kits are designed to help identify and protect your loved ones, and are also provided free of charge.

You will receive a letter in the mail to notify you of the benefits available to you as a member of APS FCU. We ask that you return the postage paid reply card to list a beneficiary for your policy, but the choice is up to you. If you list a specific beneficiary, The $3,000 will go directly to the person you designate - not to your estate- which may be taxed. You need not return the card to have the coverage. If you do return the card, an American Income Life representative will call and arrange an appointment to witness your signature, and will deliver to you your certificate of insurance.
To sign up for the Health Services Discount Program and the Child Safe Kits, you must return the yellow reply card and make an appointment for an AIL representative to deliver and explain the use of these benefits.

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the National Credit Union Administration through December 31,2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to members under the NCUA's general share insurance rules. The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional share draft account (or demand deposit account) on which the insured credit union pays no interest or dividend. It does not include any transaction account that may earn interest or dividends, a negotiable order of withdrawal ("NOW") account, money-market deposit account, and Interest on Lawyers Trust Account ("IOLTA"), even if share drafts maybe drawn on the account.
